Traffic Controls & Detours

See below for course maps and details of traffic controls, road closures and detours that will be in place for the Victor Harbor Half Marathon on the morning of Sunday 1 December 2024.

Participants will start at Warland Reserve then run on the roadway of the Esplanade and Franklin Parade in a south-westerly direction then turnaround and follow the Encounter Bikeway path back to Warland Reserve.  They will also complete an out-and-back leg across the Granite Island Causeway.  Half Marathon runners complete 2 laps of this course.

Timings are inclusive of time for traffic control to be set up & packed down.  Roads will re-open as soon as possible after the last runner has passed through each section and traffic controls can be packed up.

Eastbound carriageway remains open to vehicles.

Detour via Victoria Street.

Franklin Parade

Between Kent Reserve and Battye Street
